IFB Conference

On Wednesday I was fortunate enough to attend the IFB Conference, hosted by the application-only site Independent Fashion Bloggers. Starting bright and early at 9 am in New York City's Milk Studios as part of Milk Made Fashion Week, hundreds of bloggers, press and brand representatives sat down to hear four panel discussion helmed by well-known bloggers. Each panel was an insightful conversation on the different aspects of blogging, such as the issue of monetization and ways in which to make our blogs the best that they can be. In between each panel was a thirty minute break in which we mingled with others and checked out the event's sponsors' respective booths.
The day was quite successful and lived up to my expectations, as I had attended a fabulous IFBCon last September as well. And, of course, the gift bags were delightful.

I had the opportunity to meet many renowned bloggers, such as Bryan from Bryanboy and Emily from Cupcakes & Cashmere. In addition, I met many newer bloggers like myself, most of whom were much older than me! IFBCon was a great place for inspiration, as everyone was dressed so well. I was happy to see a variety of colorful ensembles, some of which are depicted below.

Of course, in my mad dash out the door I forgot to take a proper picture of my outfit, but I did get photographed with my friend and fellow teenage fashion blogger Beryl at the event courtesy of Design Within Reach.

Me (on left): Jack by BB Dakota kimono, Margarita Saplala silk dress, Urban Outfitters tights, Marc by Marc Jacobs bag, Rebecca Minkoff wedges.
Beryl (on right): Something Else by Natalie Wood printed dress, Cambridge Satchel Co. neon pink satchel, Steve Madden boots.

Check out Beryl's blog here.

  4. Awesome! I watched the IFB Conference via live stream. And didn't you ask a question? Did I see that? You are so young and so talented with your writing. Keep up the great work! You, my dear, are going to go far.
