Eternal Child

It doesn't come as a surprise that I would like Eternal Child. The clothes of the brand's spring/summer 2011 collection, designed by Istanbul-based Gül Gürdamar, are full of bright colors put together in a manner reminiscent of both Missoni and Sonia Rykiel (two of my favorite brands).
The knits are lightweight but cozy; they do not conceal, but rather they highlight the form. Color combinations are refreshing and feel comforting and summery. Prints and patterns are fun but still sophisticated and artistic. Overall, the designs are fresh and creative; though they may remind the viewer of the designs of other houses, Eternal Child still remains one-of-a-kind.

Though the look is gorgeous, the head-wrap is what stands out to me here. It's fantastic! I love the rope-like bow pattern.

The inspiration of nature is quite present in the first look, but it is abstracted in an artistic manner. The second look has a lot going on, but everything looks fabulous together. The blue and red printed cardigan is the stand-out piece.

I am in love with this dress. The pattern is gorgeous and truly unique and the colors feel so happy and bright. The shocking neon orange in combination with the shades of purple is absolutely stunning. I also love the use of sky blue stripes.

I love these prints! The skirt on the right in particular is truly fascinating. The print seems like it was lifted straight out of a complex fantasy novel.

This outfit feels especially reminiscent of Sonia Rykiel's aesthetic, but the color combinations are more playful. The bright lime green adds interest to otherwise plain garments.
